Digitized information can be uploaded/downloaded through our high speed internet connection. Computer graphics and animations can be created off-line on an a neighboring computer and transfered to the Video Machine through our inhouse network. Photoshop, HiRes QFX, Flying Fonts and TrueSpace 3 software installed. Programs can be converted to both PAL and SECAM European standards. It's called non-linear because it allows video to be cut and pasted like paragraphs from a word processing document, allowing changes in content without loss of quality.
Scenes are digitized to the system hard drive via component I/O, where they appear as clips on a computer screen. \\\\FAST Video Machine image quality equals or betters other NLE systems such as Avid or Media 100.
These clips are then selected and dragged over to a time line where they represent the finished program. Features include 2 channels each of video and effects and eight channels of audio. Non-Linear editing is an excellent choice for shorter or heavily edited programs.
Our \\\\FAST Video Machine has a unique hybrid editing capability which allows the system to playback scenes directly from a VTR and combine this source w/digitized video from the hard drive. Hybrid editing is great for long projects (meetings, seminars, performances,etc.) because it saves digitizing time and storage space.
Analog and digital video formats supported are Betacam SP, DVCam, Hi8, U-Matic SP, SVHS, 8mm and VHS.

Pinnacle Aladdin component digital video effects appear on the Video Machine's time line. Aladdin was the winner of the 1997 Emmy for outstanding achievement in engineering development. Aladdin has real-time 3D DVE, electronic paint, still store, linear and chroma key capabilities w/4:2:2:4 digital image processing.
Aladdin contains hundreds of customizable 2D & 3D effects including warps, sparkles, water ripples, flying keys, page turns and spheres. Other software packages from Boris Effects and ULead offer hundreds more rendered effects as well.
Inscriber TitleMotion character generation software accepts any TrueType font and creates animated titles. Individual letters, words or lines may be animated with control over motion path, timing & speed. Also does rolls and crawls.
Additional Services
Power Point animations and most other animated computer programs can be converted to video on location or in our studio with our Sony 1024G Scan Converter. Invididual Power Point slides can be easily converted for use in programs. Fast DP/R files can be output as MPEG, AVI or Quicktime files for use in CD ROMs or DVD ROMs.
Flat art is input through a scanner or a 3 chip copystand camera with RGB output into the edit system. Computer or single frame video image files are printed on photo quality paper with a 6 color, 700 dpi photo quality printer or output on CD ROM. Computer files from floppy, Zip or Jaz cartridge.
A Sonex lined audio booth with Electrovoice RE20 microphone (seen on News Radio and Frasier) is available for recording voice-overs. Booth comes equipped with color monitor.
Duplication services are provided from all supported formats. Includes cardboard sleeve and label. Mailing cases are available. Prices vary according to length of program and number of copies requested.

Washer and Dryer are available for doing laundry in our homey environment. A client work area (w/dedicated fax/internet phone connection) and viewing/consultation area with edit system video feed are included. Client lunch provided as well.

Basic Field Production Package w/videographer for single location seminars, depositions and documentation. Sony DSR130 Camcorder has amazing low light capablity with up to 3 hours of recording time on 1 Beta SP quality digital tape. Pkg. comes w/O'Connor tripod, wireless microphone, Colortran lighting kit and color monitor.
ENG Package w/videographer and audio/tape operator for multiple locations, event coverage, news gathering and multiple interviews. This pkg also includes a Sony 8" high resolution color monitor, Sennheiser 416 shotgun microphone, 16 ft. graphite audio fishpole, Rycote zepplin and shock mount. An Arri or Colortran lighting kit w/ Chimera, white/silver reflector, backround stand and 4'X6' backround are also included. Our production vehicle is an extended length Ford Aerostar van.
EFP Package includes director, videographer and audio/tape operator for scripted productions, staged scenarios and scenes utilizing on-camera talent. The D130 has a skin detail mode that actually reduces wrinkles in the skin tone area of images without effecting the sharpness of the surrounding picture. Package also includes a Sony 13" high- resolution color monitor.
All pkgs. are also available w/ a Sony BVW-35 Betacam SP portable VTR. Budget packages with a Sony EVW-300 3-FIT Chip Hi8 camcorder are also available.
Multi-Camera Packages for Live Coverage of Events
2 or more Sony Digital Cameras w/compact flypack for live coverage of events, meetings, seminars, music and theatrical productions. This package includes director, camera operators, and audio/tape operator. Package also includes rear zoom, focus & monitor for each camera, clearcom comunication system, coax cables, JVC 3-bus or Sony Digital SEG and Betacam SP or DVCam VTR. Digital camcorders allow DVCam iso/backup recordings for post event editing flexability.

Sony 1024G Scan Converter allows Power Point and other computer programs used in speaker support to be recorded in component quality on Betacam SP or DVCam videotape on location. This signal can also be simultanously projected for viewing at meetings and also fed to a switcher input for mixing with camera feeds. The presenter’s image can be compressed and positioned in an open area of each slide for simultanious viewing on video of the slide and the presenter.
This remote controled camera boom gives any program a movie-style production value that can't be duplicated in post. 12' and 18' lengths with remote control of zoom, focus, pan, tilt, iris and VTR trigger. 10" wide pneumatic tires make this jib able to travel across sand and uneven ground. Compact size allows access to most buildings and plants.
A Stanton dolly is available w/ 40' of track. This dolly can be utilized w/ the jib or with a simple camera/tripod combination.

Wrap Up crews are equipped with a wide assortment of audio gear including Cetec Vega diversity VHF & UHF wireless microphones, a Sennheiser MKH416 shotgun mic, 16' graphite fishpole, Rycote Zepplin and shock mount, Sony ECM 44 and 55 Lav. mics, Sony ECM672 shotgun mics, Shure FP31 and FP42 mixers. 2 Shure FP410 intelligent mixers can be combined with a 100' 8 input audio snake for automated mixing of panel discussions of up to 8 panelists.
The incredible light sensitivity of today's cameras make the character of the light more important than its intensity. Chimera lightboxes are generally considered to provide the most pleasing light output of any source. Our large assortment of Chimeras and wide choice of fixtures from an open faced Arri 2K to 300w Arri Fresnels give us the right light for most indoor situations. "C" Stands, shiny boards, cookies, flags and scrims help control light output.
Our package also includes 24' X 10' muslin backdrop w/stands, Matthews Jr. rolling stands, Matthews 6’X6’ frame w/scrim, griff & green screen. Muslin backdrops and colored paper rolls help make any open area a shooting stage. Shooting talent in front of a green screen allows them to be keyed in front of video or still graphic backrounds. HMI lights are also available for outdoor use.
